Gib Shanley

As you probably know by now Gib Shanley passed away yesterday. I had the pleasure of meeting him and interviewing him for a profile for ClevelandSeniors.Com. He was not only interesting but was really a nice guy - even though his television persona was a bit gruff.

Anyone who watched the day he burned the Iranian flag (during the Iranian hostage incident) will always remember it - he was very passionate! He was there when Brian Sipe threw Red Right 88 and when the Browns went to the 64 Championship game. He was also around when Art Model sold the Browns.

He was a man of high moral values and ethics and he will be missed.

I am lucky to be able to meet many really interesting people through my work on the website. Gib Shanley was certainly one of my favorites.
